Although I Find Dines An Interesting Read..............

He reminds me of some of the " End Of Worlders " at SI and Kitco. And
although I was dismayed to find Canada had sold much of its Gold in
years gone by,with a little more thought to it than the dumb Aussie
Central Banks," the sky is falling " was never on my nor many other
realists minds during the record setting lows.I feel it was attacked
by the currency specs. just as they did to some SEA countries, but soon
realized Canada's relative global strength based on a fundamentally
sound economy, good control of deficit spending and the likelyhood of
trade surpluses on the weak loonie. Our only problems that stand out
among the positives are.......

1. A bunch of separatistas in one province that are yet to find out
what real hard times are if they continue their agenda. This agenda
continues to overhang our loonie as we are seen to have risk.

2. Commodity prices continue to slump and we have a heavy weighting
in natural resources.Gold,by the way,is not mined here in Canada
to the degree some believe. We just have a lot of companies based
here and often got their start here.

3. High unemployment levels that just can't seem to break below nine
or so percent. This is not a problem,so to speak,it is more of a
policy by the ruling junta.Keep em scared and off guard and they
will not look for wage increases, much like that in the US,but with
a heavier hand from the industry lobby. Also our immigration levels
are way too high to support IMHO.
