Besides, everyone makes mistakes, and politicians make many mistakes. It goes with the territory.

Recession in the UK looms, and will not be surprised at all to find that the USA finds itself in a similar position.

Those 2 trillion dollars are going to get cut anyway, so it's a matter of making the best outcome from a bad situation.
