Ken....I don't think it would hurt to buy now....I have looked over the charts on past DELL splits....It doesn't do much retracement around split time....Of course, there's no guarantee of future performance, but as long as the fundamentals (the most important thing in buying a stock) are sound I don't think it matters much whether you buy now and DELL goes down 7 right after.......Those 7 points on the downside now won't look like anything in a year or year and a half from now......Conversely, if you wait hoping for a soon retracement, you might miss some upside profit.......I wouldn't look for much retracement from DELL until after the split....The overall climate of the whole market is too bullish.........George
