I am not sure what that has to do with anything?

Every president has things that are bad. His Viet Nam debacle was worse.

I could list bad things all day long for Nixon, Bush and Trump.

I demonstrated in the streets to get rid of LBJ over his Viet Nam debacle.

FYI:

The Democratic party is almost evenly divided between the moderate wing and the liberal wing.

The moderate wing has been in control since the McGovern debacle. But in 2008 we saw a chance for the return of liberals, and elected Obama, who ran to the LEFT of Hillary.

But as soon as he was elected he moved to the center and embraced the moderate wing. He did not even indict one banker who caused the 2008 crash and even brought oligarchs in who were responsible for it.

Then in 2016, the liberals tried again, and the difference between the liberals and moderates was that the liberals saw the danger of the rich and oligarchs taking over the government, and did not think Hillary did as she and Bill had taken a lot of money from them.

They wanted to run Warren, but she saw the FIX was in for Hillary and she couldn't win, so she would not run and the liberals HAD to take Bernie. They raised much more than Hillary in small donations.

Bernie, IMO, would have won as he would have done well with the workers and in the rust belt. And that was the difference.

In 2020 we tried again, but when Bernie won the Nevada caucus, Obama and Clyburn stopped him cold by telling the other nominees to support Biden, and their followers to vote for Biden.

So all the other people dropped out and endorsed Biden, and he won all the southern primaries where the African Americans control the Democratic party.

Then in 2024 Biden was supposed to only run for one term, but he would not step down even though his dementia was getting bad, and his poll numbers showed he would lose, and the party did not force him out until it was too late to mount a good campaign.

And today all the concern we liberals had back in 2016 about the oligarchs has come true, and we are fucked!

I believe that historical account is correct.
