<<And if the price keeps going like it is, we are headed for another. Right now, estimates are for maybe 4 buck this year and $4.50 to $5 next. If INTC gets to $100 to $110 is is definitely OVER VALUED. And before you come back and bash the analysts, let me do it for you. They have it wrong, we'll be lucky to see $4 bucks this year and next, maybe $4.25...

INTC is a great company, but it is not worth 25x earnings 2 years out.>>

This makes me wonder, what fraction of the industrialized world's population (excluding the US, growth may realistically slow for periods of time) is set up with a post-1990 computer? I don't have these numbers, but I'd guess the fraction is much smaller than for the US, and that these people will want the access to information afforded by a connection to the internet. This information connection is still best served primarily by a computer, and not a TV. If I were to guess, I'd say that we'll see increasing growth from the rest of the world over the next five years. And that should help Intel thrive and help the other companies making CPU's at least stay in business.

Mo - Re: "INTC is a great company, but it is not worth 25x earnings 2 years out."

Still debating with yourself, eh, Mo?

Since Intel isn't worth 25x EPS, you of course sold your Intel, did you not?

Better sell right away, Mo - Intel's stock could drop any time now - maybe even on Monday.

Paul

Some of us think that the estimates for this year are a little low, and the the estimates for next year are a LOT low, and that Intel deserves a P/E of 25-30.
