Your understanding of history is a bit one dimensional isn't it?

That might be the best way of looking at it btw. A complex view can sometimes be confusing.

Take the Catholic Church for example: Where is the centre of the Universe? Pope says Earth, and everything revolves around it. A bit basic, but a very good model for someone who had not studied Tensors and stuff.

Then some clever cloggs, who thought he knew stuff, said no ... The Sun is.... Actually came up with a simpler diagram, which was very handy for scientific progress.

But then is got more complicated after that. The Suns orbit in the Galaxy etc.

In the end, the view that the Earth is the centre of the Universe, for relativistic calculations, might be the better way to go.

There will a faint smile from the Vatican if that happens... I can tell you.

However, in your own good time, how about those questions I asked?

<<"Following Trump's comments, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said: "The Arctic is a zone of our national interests, our strategic interests. We are interested in preserving the atmosphere of peace and stability in the Arctic zone.

"We are watching the rather dramatic development of the situation very closely, but so far, thank God, at the level of statements," Peskov added.

Gurulev also set his sights on Spitsbergen, a sovereign Norwegian territory upon which Russia exercises rights under the Svalbard Treaty of 1920 to conduct economic activities such as mining.

There is a Russian consulate on the Arctic island in Barentsburg, the world's northernmost diplomatic mission. The island is demilitarised under international agreement, but Gurulev says Russia should overturn this
