Interesting. A while back I spent a little time looking at Russian vehicles and planes made for that region.

The Russians still make large jet powered seaplanes for example, and they manufacture some impressive (viewing the assembly lines) looking vehicles for very cold conditions.

The Northern Sea routes would be a great détente subject with the Russians I think. Some great common interests and history. A more palatable subject to go over before discussing the more difficult issue of the Ukraine.

When it comes to a deterrent mind, have 50% of all ships manufactured in NATO countries is the way to go. Of all classes, no exceptions including bulk carriers. No messing about.

Now there could be some silly talk on Capitalism with some sources, but I am fairly sure I could straighten the matter out. If I can, other more capable sources should be able to cruise it.

Trump could show them this video for example...

Sends the right kind of message about US armed forces mentality as a side dish, as it were.

Should have the Russians cheering them on.
