The treaty is no longer valid and Carter was right to give control back to Panama.
Whether Carter was "right" to give back the Panama Canal or not doesn't matter.

He did it, and it's a done deal.

Now the MAGA chickenhawks are coming out and saying that they never liked the deal, therefore we need to "reverse" it by force.
