"Gateway's inventory turns for this past quarter where 20.7. Unless I am misinterpreting this statement, which if I am I am more than open to correction, that works out to turning inventory every 4.4 days. Dell stated that they turned inventory in 7 days which was a record for them"

GTW beat DELL on inventory management (or anything else for that matter -g-)? You efficiency boys better check your numbers and conclusions again. HINT: inventory turn ratio is typically expressed as # of turns per year. So close to 18 days to turn inventory sounds a bit more like GTW's style.

Just think about it. Do you realize how hard it would be to turn over your entire inventory in 4.4 days, even if all you are doing is adding frills to Intel boards. I think DELL's 7 day turn is pretty damn phenominal.
