Trump knows Newsome is the only (D) with national name recognition and relevant experience ( Gov. of a major state ) that also 'looks good on TV' - the main Trump fear. He's not afraid of him now, he's already president. He's afraid of Newsome presenting a viable (D) candidate in 2028, after Trump has screwed the pooch for the next for years. That's why all you clowns are trying to blame him for the fires. I've lived in S. CA, and if you've never experienced the Santa Anna winds, that happen every year. The first time I went there was in the 1970's, when I still smoked tobacco. I had hitchhiked out from Texas, and tossed a butt out the window, and was lambasted by everyone in the car. They explained how every CA person was careful not to start a fire.
