Aurum, actually, since the mid 20's "Gordon" has become a relatively popular "Jewish" name, due to the fact that a certain "Gordon" (family name) founded a jewish youth movement. It is like the Greek name "Alexander", it has been a popular "Jewish" name for the last 2000 years to respect Alexander the Macedonian (the "Great"), for his laws promulgating freedom of religion in the Greek empire. I simply looked up the recent family tree of the Rothschilds in the Encyclopedia Judaica, and could not find a scion named Gordon.

Aurum,

<<The English Rothschild's have had names like Victor, James and Charles>>

They obviously have good taste in names.
