SEEQ Technology Incorporated - Find SEEQ and ye shall find a supplier of Ethernet network communication products. SEEQ Technology introduced the first Ethernet chip set; its products are used in Ethernet LANs, and include communication controllers, AutoDUPLEX chip sets, encoders and decoders, coaxial cable transceivers, and networking modules. SEEQ sells to the US and abroad through independent manufacturers' representatives and independent distributors. Customers include distributors and makers of computers, fax machines, and modems. SEEQ's 2 largest clients, Bay Networks and Serial Systems, together account for about 50% of sales. The company contracts with independent foundries to assemble and fabricate its integrated circuits. Established in 1988, and incorporated in April 1992, Serial System is a distributor of electronic components in the Asia Pacific region.
