imho, ORCL is toast until the earnings reports start leaking later in March. ORCL has a large Asian presence on it's balance sheet, which is the problem du jour, but also could still be the real deal.

I am also extremely weary of database companies, which see; SYBS (nice upgrade), IFMX (nice advertising), GPTA (now defunct I believe), BORL (de Kahn-nated).

I am also hearing through the back-channel that Oracle's latest and greatest isn't catching on, which means delays in profits until at least 4th quarter in the calendar year. I haven't called up a chart, but I would say 25 is high by today's standards.

Finally, there was a great story recently about the database market in the Red Herring, I believe, which relates the problems these companies are having while trying to be Microsloth...

My opinion doesn't matter though...
