Use it with extreme care -

it's a powerful solvent and chelating agent -
on contact with your skin, dimethylsulfoxide readily transports any contaminants
(chemical or biological)
past your skin into your body.

Any impurity that was in the bottle
will be inside you.

Stuff that may be innocuous sitting on you skin could be harmful or worse in your body.

Early on they though it would be a great way to transport drugs into a person
instead of injection but because of the above it didn't work out (due to concern or incidence I don't know)
