Heywood, Are you thinking settlements hold the same legal authority as judgements? I don't, but MAGA does. Doesn't matter, though. The mere settlement itself gives a LOT of power to Trump and his ability to intimidate his critics with more SLAPP lawsuits. You can bet that his lawyers will argue that settlements do indeed hold the same legal authority as judgements. It might be legal bullshit, but SLAPP lawsuits are often based on questionable legal grounds. The hope is that the targets of these SLAPP lawsuits won't bother calling their bluff.
