Admittedly, those kinds of moments are pretty sweet. Unfortunately, these days he would have sued you and won for fraud. Somehow. I really liked the NeXT. The concept, at least. But Jobs was pretty enamored with his design chops and too often saddled his machines with his vision instead of what was practical for the market. I would have loved a NeXT that I could afford. By the time I could afford one, there were other pathways to a unix-like workstation, if not full 3M specs.
