Europe desperately needs a cleaner running diesel. If BAT can do
this, maybe Europe can clean up its act. I visited Europe twice
one summer a few years ago, and sat in one of those sidewalk
cafes that was supposed to be so romantic on Capri. The diesel fumes were overwhelming! Who would want to eat in one of those places and get smogged out? The old marble buildings in Pisa, Italy, were
once shiny white marble. Now they are chocolate brown from the
diesel emissions. Residents of Paris could get their property tax
forgiven if they would clean up the marble fronts of their buildings.
Spain spent a whole year cleaning up for the Barcelona Olympic
games. Athens was a smog pit, too. I noticed that the BAT Super Car had NO visible emissions for the first segment of the test. I could smell the exhaust though. For the next two segments, the car got a little smoky on start up, but that cleared up immediately. I never was a
diesel fan because of their emissions and general clanky-sounding
low performance. But the BAT Super Car could change my mind.
