I've got some CIM-D series. Had them since the Covid panic price dip.

They added a floating component at some point within the last year, so they pay about 10% now.

CIM (the parent) seems to be doing OK. Do you think they'll be redeemed in the near future due to the high rate? Any view? Where (other than monitoring CIM's press releases) would we see the redemption announcement, if it comes?

How about this one? CIM yields about 10% and the D series preferred yields about 10% as well. Why would anyone own the common rather than the preferred? I guess the common may grow it's dividend and with it the share price, but that seems a risky forecast to count on.
