Alonso needs to check his pride and take the best offer, which is the Mets. Toronto signed Scherzer and Santander. The Angels offered Alonso 2 years 50M, which he rejected. No one is paying a one dimensional home run hitter who was totally unclutch last year in the regular season anywhere near what he is asking. Personally, I think the Mets are better off without Alonso. They have Mauricio and Acuna who may become real good players if given the chance. Alonso is headed towards a bottomless pit if he doesn't wake up soon. Alonso is a super pig headed clown. Not very excited to watch the Super Bowl with the Chiefs winning another one score game.
