You act like this is something new.
You have things confused, as usual.

The issue of birthright citizenship isn't new. That's obvious.

What is new is Trump trying to amend the constitution via executive order. Despite over a century of interpretation, precedent, and case law, Trump thinks he can get five Supreme Court justices to ignore all that and redefine the very definition of words, all to advance his crusade against "anchor babies."

If Trump is successful, no other Constitutional amendment is safe.
Even if it loses in the SC, at least there will be a road map for a constitutional amendment attempt.
