Dear Dr. Bond:

What are some of the other factors? What about dosage?
The earlier prescriptions were mostly 250 mg ones? Now
the best seller is the 1000mg ones..

Also the # of new prescriptions over 1997 have to come
under scrutiny - the numbers may be exaggerated a bit
at first because a patient could only buy 250 mg muse?

Finally I think it would make sense for the mgmt to
allocate the drugs to new patients rather than repeat
customers - the repeat customers already know this is
effective and when they are told they can't get refills
because of supply constraint - they would go: wow this
thing is so damn hot... too bad I didn't order more
last time... when I can finally get my hands on them
I'm going to stock up! Wheraz new customers, w/o knowing
how effective MUSE is.. might turn to other therapy
if they can't get to try MUSE out.

Comments?

Charlie

It might be interesting to see some comparison data for other medications that are taken on a chronic basis. For instance, what are the "new scripts" and the "refills" on Prozac or Tenormin. Both of these are much more well established medications and one would expect them to have a higher refill/new ratio in any case.

Would it be difficult for you to get these numbers?
