<< from your post, it would seem that POCI is less than an even marginal player in that segment. POCI is less than an even marginal player in that segment. >>

They are for the time being. Doesn't mean that couldn't change.

<< Are you of the opinion that POCI will not make it? >>

Never said that. Just didn't like someone who made it well known that POCI was the hot one to buy when it was over 4==>2 now telling me I was a fool for selling and that I didn't understand POCI's market.

<< I ask you because I have been encouraged to buy POCI over the last several months, and it has become dead money. >>

A lot of these penny stocks do that. They do nothing for a while and they take off in a burst. POCI had some pretty good volume on friday.

<< However, I was also told not to expect to see anything at least until this quarter >>

POCI isn't going to accomplish much in the near term. If your buying POCI you should be looking out a couple of years. Little stocks like this move on news though so if they announce some exciting contract it will move. That doesn't mean the earnings will look good the following quarter just because they signed a contract, but it will be a show of confidence in the technology.

I wouldn't call POCI the next Uniphase though like someone on this thread mentioned before. UNPH is an established leader that has grown for years and has many brilliant engineers working there. POCI is still a crapshoot.

Having said all of that I'm not saying POCI couldn't be a good investment. If I thought it wasn't then why would I have just bought some? (I probably wouldn't have sold had I knew it was going to finish with such strong volume but with 20 some odd percent gains in just a few days I took my profits))
