"The aviation agency and US Department of Transport are fighting the suit..." The suit was filed in 2015 and was contested by Trump's first administration during the entire 4 years of his first term. He had 4 years to simply sign an EO with his sharpie, instructing his agencies to change the policy and settle the suit, if this had been of any concern to him then. He was apparently too busy golfing to take the time to do that. Now he has to rely on people like you to try to re-write history in a futile effort to make him look like less of a moron. That's not going to work.

How To Spot Bullshishka: Classic Case of Stealth Editing This is in response to an article from the NYPost: FAA embroiled in lawsuit alleging it turned away 1,000 applicants based on race — that contributed to staffing woes (NYPost) However, there seems to be some confusion as to when that lawsuit was filed. According to BC's post, the first line of the article originally said the following: *The Federal Aviation Administration was hit with a class-action lawsuit last year* alleging it had denied 1,000 would-be air traffic controllers jobs because of diversity hiring targets — as it was revealed that staffing levels were “not normal” at the time of this week’s deadly midair collision. But when I found the actual article on the NYPost website (which I had to find myself because BC didn't provide a direct link), I found that they changed the first line of the article: *The Federal Aviation Administration is fighting a class-action lawsuit* alleging it denied 1,000 would-be air traffic controllers jobs because of diversity hiring targets — as it was revealed that staffing levels were “not normal” at the time of this week’s deadly midair collision. Later on, the revised article mentioned that the suit was filed back in 2015, but that never appeared in the original article. By the way, nowhere in the revised article did it mention that it was edited from its original version. Basic Journalism 101 says that when you publish a story, then edit it later on, you need to make a note of it. It's one thing to get the facts wrong in the beginning. That's understandable. The race to be "FIRST!" with a story is real. But if you change the story without letting people know, then you are guilty of spreading misinformation. I would even call that "disinformation," since it's possible that the NYPost WANTS people to believe a falsehood without having to correct them. *Why Does This Matter, Tenchu?* It matters because the NYPost wanted to push the narrative that the FAA was facing problems due to their efforts to push DEI. It matters because the NYPost wanted to blame Biden for that DEI push. But instead, it looks like the lawsuit was filed a long time ago and spanned four administrations, from Obama to Trump 1.0 to Biden and now Trump 2.0. In other words, this lawsuit is OLD NEWS. DEI has been a part of the FAA for almost a decade now, even under the four years of Trump 1.0. Blaming DEI for the crash now seems incredibly disingenuous. Tenchusatsu
