The tidal range is much bigger then those figures.

If old photo's are to be used, the state of the tide can be gleaned from the inter tidal range of sea life that is visible.

Marine Chart datums will also have been accurately recorded over hundreds of years.

So the measurements may be available, but I do not believe or trust AP News. Too much past bs from those guys.
