Year 2000: Where Do You Stand?

"It's fewer than 22 months to year 2000. If you haven't started a detailed compliance assessment of plant-floor software, you might want to hurry."

Dear Alec: I am not quite sure its that simple. First off I believe the tool price is only "per site". Secondly, authorization is necessary. I presume a company with multiple sites (likely our targeted market) will want to attack the problem jointly and not have each plant run helter skelter after a "fix". Thus review by many may be necessary before a centralized committe can approve. However, the ball is now in their court (I presume ALL cd-roms were FINALLY shipped. Once approval is completed it likely will come in WAVES as I would think all the targeted custormers likely have similar methods of authorization. JDN
