David: I've just started studying some ActiveX. It's not as bad as many imply isn't it! As long as you don't try to do any deadly serious enterprise development when all the work arounds and the true lack of OOP in VB shows itself quickly.

I was just playing with it to design (basic) components for DB access and generic forms. And though it's relatively "ugly" compared to Java's elegance, I agree with you - I would not nec. thrust it into the depths of hell as many do. It has a place. As long as one does not try to "force" it out of that space I think it's ok.

Or am I seeing ActiveX through rosy glasses?
