Let the States figure it out for themselves and get their priorities in order.

The people who work for the DOE are by in large bureaucrats who have been outside the classroom for years, decades in some instances. They know shit what is best in terms of providing the best education for youngsters.

Administrators in education go into educational administration because they hate teaching, being in the classroom, teaching children.

You want these administrators determining educational policy?

Private schools. It's already happening.
