Beino,

Maybe you can clarify something for me. You have pulled out a number of stories that suggest there will be a dram shortages sometime in the future because of capacity cut backs. Now if the chip producers really believed that there is an imminent dram shortage why would they be cutting back on real bit capacity? And if there will be a large demand for 64 in the future why should there be a shortage of 16 when the demand should greatly diminish for 16 as 64 becomes the chip of preference. I know I have a certain bias when it come to this industry as do you but the logic escapes me. Sounds more like desperate wishful thinking to me been hearing these kind of stories for quite some time as the glut continues and prices go down. Logically it seems that equilbrium may occur by next year but barring some sort of castastrophe shortages seem extremely unlikely. If I'm missing something here please fill me in. RR
