Ah Semibull, you hit on an important point (and you had to have experienced this to really appreciate it).

It is very possible and often done, that revenue is LEGALLY included in a later quarter than the current one. Something as simply as forgetting to pick up a fax, not shipping a product on exactly the right day, contract T&Cs not really finalized etc etc etc. These can help you push revenue into the next quarter to better help manage the earnings and reduce risk. Now I know I'll hear a lot of people say, this is not done. All I can say is "believe what you want." It's actually good management. However, if the orders come in early enough in the quarter. then you can't do anything but recognize it. I believe this is what happened. If you read into bobf's statements during Q4 he talked about lots of deals that were delayed from Q2 & Q3 that closed after the restatement meeting. Then there is the usual, use it or lose it spending at the end of the fiscal year. So guess what, higher revenue and higher earnings.

So that will make Q1 even more of a challenge for IFMX. But remember, Q1 is typically weak for many companies, including IFMX, compared to the previous quarter and the later ones. I would hope for $160m - $170m total revenues including restatement revenue.

Cheers

From my "outsider" understanding of financials, it is more difficult to hide over a period of multiple quarters. That is why at best this has given him some additional time to work on the turnaround of the company unless he resorts to more outright "cooking of the books", which I do not think he will.
