Oh Skirted One, This oil price dip will likely send oour boys down...sorry to say it, but I look forward to the opportunity to do some buying back in FGII.

As I am easing back into the world of offshore I am starting to get a better appreciation for the deeper water players. These projects are like giant tankers in the ocean that can not be turned on a dime.

What's an oil company to do because oil is down a few bucks...cancel a multi-year strategic operation that they have already poured hundreds of million dollars into...and the very success of their company could hinge on the eventual completion of these "elephant" hunts. Deepwater is here to stay. Start watching for some drilling results on these deep plays. If they actually find what they are looking for then they will look for some more.

If the doomsayes would have their way, they would say an oil company would cancel projects due to the low price of oil. I would like to see that happen...they cancel today...next month oil has recovered a few bucks...they decide to restart the project...but find they are now at the end of the line for all the construction and equipment needed...it ain't gonna happen.

Just hang in there guys. Glory shall be ours. My suggested list includes (if you wanted to pick 5 and have some diversity):

FGII, DO, FLC, CXIPY, MDCO

Thanks PK. What might help us now is IF OPEC get a special meeting going before June, which is their next scheduled one.

If they get the word out they are thinking about one.... especially noted that their goal is to review the member quotas in light of the new player and the new supply, we could see a oil rally.

They're not going to let oil get so low that they continue to create imbalance. Oil's price is down over 25%, and they only raised the member's level 10%. They're imbalanced now, especially with Sadam's "new" oil.

See you guys in the AM. East coasters get to watch the carnage first....<g>
