Jim, the best advice I can give you to to run, walk or crawl to Donna's Bar tonight and hear a fantastic band named Kermit Ruffins and the Barbeque Swingers. Kermit is one of the best (and most entertaining) trumpet players around. Don't be surpised if any of the Marsalis brothers drop in. The music is "jump up and dance" jazz and brass, definitely not the kind that will put you to sleep. Donna's is about 3 blocks from Bourbon Street, on the corner of St. Ann Street and Rampart Street. Kermit will start playing around 10:30 or 11pm. I guaranteeeee a good time. Tell him that "Billy" sent you. And don't worry about CUBE tonight.
