<<You need to study up on Lomborg.>>

Eric, I appreciate your direction that I should widen my narrow understanding of the Power Generation business.

Now I found a bit of time, I looked over that presentation by lazard.
The figures and analysis for renewables looks encouraging. How good are those figures though? I used to have to prepare reports like that. From experience, some of those figures have to be plucked out of the air.

Rather go into a deep and time consuming analysis, I looked for an obvious blooper. There is one. It's on Hydrogen.

I have worked with Hydrogen extensively. These days I wonder how I managed to sleep at night working with that stuff.

Hydrogen leaks. It's because it is such a small molecule.

The economic case is even worse.

Sabine explains.

She is a real charmer as far as I am concerned, just love that German accent. She can talk Physics and seems to like Chemistry too. She wonders how Hydrogen was ever considered in the first place? It's a question I have asked myself several times too. Sabine makes several guesses why it could of happened. Suggests something called "Motivated Reasoning". Whatever, it does not fly.

So, if I had prepared that lazard report, I would have deleted the Hydrogen Analysis, it is NOT realistic, and brings the rest of the figures into question. How accurate are they in the real world?

Lombard might be a science ignoramus, but he is asking the right questions. That is all that matters.

I think it's time lazard reviews that document. It's needs an update. Lose the Hydrogen for starters.
