re: I am a little bit more active with CEFs tho, mostly adding than I am with BDCs.

Same here.... in fact I add to some of my CEFs almost monthly, as I'm trying to bring a few smaller positions, up to size. BUI has been one of late I've been adding to, when ever its yield is 7% or better. It's among my smallest CEFs, and a Sector I like for the long term. As Chowder has noted several times, many CEFs have done extremely well the past 12 months, so not many are attractively priced for adding shares.

I've owned STK in my Taxable account for a few years, and always wanted to add some to my Roth. With my recent sale of CM & CNI I now have a lot of extra cash to invest, and some of that will go into STK in my Roth. On a lark I looked it up on CEF Connect, and was pleasantly surprised to see it at the small Discount. So a reasonable time to add STK to my Roth, which I plan to do Monday.... and catch the Feb Distribution. (x-date is Feb 18th, pay date is Feb 25th.... with Feb 17th a market holiday, Friday, Feb 14th is last day to buy.)

I've not added to my BDCs in a couple of years, but was thinking about bulking up ARCC in January. Unfortunately, ARCC kind of took off, rising about 8% during the month so I never did. If it falls back to $22 (9% yield) I'll add to ARCC. (It has dropped some since its ER last week.) If OBDC falls to $14.80 (10% yield) I'll add to that as well. Those two, along with MAIN comprise my BDC Trifecta.
