MichaelJ,
<<<<Keep MY HEAD screwed on??>>>>
You find a way to do that and I know several people who would pay you a lot of money!!!
It maybe an error on the side of caution, but I think the only thing being said is: Make sure you understand the play you are making and Make sure you understand the risk!
When I first looked at options and didn't really understand all I say was DOLLAR SIGNS!!
I'll always consider myself a student! I don't want to ever give the impression I know everything. (FAT CHANCE)
So if someone adds something or makes a point from another perspective. I want people to take note.
To me or you something may be familiar but to someone else it may not! I have no problem buying puts on PAIR but I know the stock and the play with a put!
The only think I think that got pointed out is if PAIR drops you may have to scramble for cash and be ready to sit! All I saw on the first selling of a put was somebody was gonna give me MONEY!!!Forget down the road. That's all.
Also thanks for the input. I don't think we can ever over study options plays!
Best to ya,
Jay

Hey MJ are you the one and only MJ or his highness' heir apparent.

I'm from chicago and hope you can hit the turnaround fade like the MAN.

Ok- options. I don't want you to think that a person who uses a put selling strategy to make money is feeble-minded! Au contraire.
If you want to own the stock -- great -- grab the preems. I was just suggesting that many got burnt toast using the strategy in '87 becuz
they were greedy and did not know the risks. I mean a friend of mine was selling steenths on way out the money puts big time right on up
to the crash!! He lost 100g's on Friday!! before the crash.
