To all - interesting comments from gold analyst Michael Fowler posted on SH by MUSCLE HEAD:

Friday's Bloomberg interview with PDG's John Willson (released after the bell) did very little to vindicate or clarify their position on LC 4&6. Riding on the decision is 10% of PDG's global gold production for the next 25 years or so. You would think faced with that dilemma he would have had something rather profound and enlightening to say. Not So!! In fact, his comment (one sentence) was misleading as well as incorrect. He left PDG shareholders baffled as the interview focused on lower production costs and his forecast for bullion prices completely down-playing the upcoming court decision.

What I found interesting were the comments made by gold analyst Michael Fowler who currently has PDG a "HOLD" among the mining issues he follows. He said that if PDG were successful in obtaining the LC 4&6 concessions he would upgrade the stock to a "BUY". I consider that a profound statement. That speaks volumes as to the impact this decision will have on KRY shareholders. If the decision can raise the rating of a major with 250 million shares outstanding what do you think it will do to a junior with 37 million shares outstanding? Obviously this unbiased analyst assessment of the value of LC 4&6 completely obliterates comments made on this forum that the current price of KRY fully reflects this asset, and that the property could not be developed cost effectively.

Frank,

Due to the Iraq settlement and the falling POG, we are going to wait a little while on the PDG calls (you noticed that they were way out - Jan '99 and '00). I was just spoofin' Peache because he is buying PDG puts. We always buy ootm AU company calls and methinks that PDG will get slammed too hard for it's actions at LC.

Maybe the "shorts" are finally going to see some action (negative) this week with their KRY holdings, Could be fun!
