Doof,
Re -- amd on track to deliver k6-3d in volume by middle of the year.

What? weren't they supposed to have it in April? Also what does volume mean, does it mean 1M?

Looks like VIA and others who are developing socket-7 chipsets, will also suffer losses because of AMD.

What a company, First its cybermax and other 3rd tier companies, now its VIA, Acer....

Ali Babble better be careful about Acer, he might wind up being layed off.

From the article Dief posted,

<<Tight timing tolerances are another concern. At 100 MHz, some timing signals between the CPU and system memory drop to less than 4 ns.>>

Can someone explain to me why the timing between CPU to memory is less than 4ns in 100MHz bus speed? It seems to me frequency=1/4ns=250MHz.
That means the frequency of CPU to memory must be at least 250MHz for
100MHz bus to work. ???

Thanks
Maxwell
