Jorge and all: I've never been to this board before today, and frankly don't own any DELL (unless it is a security in one of my mutuals), but I thought I'd add a comment or two regarding my experience at Chicago's Mid Winter Meeting, the largest Dental convention in the US.

High tech was all around the floor. Digital x-rays, Office computerization, networking computers in the individual operatories, intraoral cameras, etc. Some of the companies who were trying real hard to sell their goods offered to "throw in" a computer with the purchase. Others offered to sell computers at their cost (?) with their software and specialized peripherals (for dentistry) installed. Wouldn't you know it, almost to the last company, the computer of choice was DELL. In fact, when I computerized my office in May of 1994, the company I bought the software from "threw in" 2 DELL computers. These 486 models are still chugging along for me as we speak. Most of the demo computers on the floor were DELL. I can only remember seeing one Toshiba laptop in my two days at the convention. Anyway, thought I'd throw my 2 cents into the discussion.

Sincerely,
RFH
