<<and the global feeder.>>

Ref the Sudan. I have relatives working on projects in the Sudan, and who used to spend most of their time in the Sudan. I have not heard updates in a while, but about 6 months ago one one side of the war was using Russian mercenaries, and the other one mercenaries mainly from the Ukraine.

The USAID auditing of where the money and food is going is a very worthwhile exercise. Just look at what happened to Haiti. $Billions$ were allocated, but the poor people who needed the aid got near nothing. That story is normal. Corruption is the name of the game where people are living on the edge.

From what I heard, a mobile phone network helps, and the plentiful supply of old mobile phones cuts down on the corruption.

If you want food aid to get to the people who really need it, its important to audit everything frequently. Probably every week. Modern technology and management can help.

So... well done Trump, Musk and Team for addressing a big problem that needed urgent attention.

Now, if Trump & Co. are not spending the money appropriately on aid, sure get the press to report all about it. To assume all the money has been going to the right places without audits to date is just poppycock.

Or are you suggesting everything was running smoothly until Trump put his foot on it?
