A Few Strategies

As VV subscribers will know, VV comes with many built in strategies. Here, however, are a few I made up and use regularly for daytrading:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
RUNAWAYS < 5:
Price < 5
Price < Value
Vol > Avg Vol
Vol > 50000
Pct Change Price > 0
This gives me 20-30 stocks to check out and prepare to watch for the day on my live-quotes feed. Quite often one or more of them turn out to be very profitable for daytrading.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PANIC SALES < 5

Price < Value
Volume > Avg Vol
Pct Change Price < -15
Sort by Pct Change Price ascending

This gives me several stocks that sold off in a panic the day before. Quite often these stocks bounce back nicely the next day. A little research suggests the best ones, usually those with the best fundamentals.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have others, but I'd like to see some from other folks here.
I used VV for the 5 week intro program. Poor charts, not very useful even for 1 - 3 month trading. I have been having very good results / luck with Jeff Cooper scans. Subject 12444
