I listen to "The Duran" occasionally just to see what the Russian view is. I have extended family in that war on the Ukraine side. Unlike some others I see the war in the Ukraine as a disaster for Ukraine. It's not some computer game to "win". It is just a friggin disaster that others really don't care about much other then "beating pootin". It's not just "pootin" that is the problem, Russians have good reasons to fear NATO and the USA, and are fighting that war in a determined way. Anyway, warning: there are always a number of "put downs" that the Duran emphasises when taking about the Collective West. The first is that all European countries are "vassal states" of the USA. You hear them repeating that all the time. The Russian propaganda is there, some of the humour is OK, but what I am interested in is what Russia wants. It's seems to me they want the war to end, it's just a matter of making the peace. They will not allow NATO to enter Ukraine though, that would continue the war without end imho. Since 2014 NATO went "regime change" in Ukraine, and yes that was the prelude to the war there. Russia got chucked out of the G8 and now it's just the G7. With the resurgence of BRICS, Russia is probably no longer interested in going back into the G8. I regard the Russians as a dangerous opponent. It seems silly to belittle them or underestimate their resources. They are buddies with China now too, not a good development for the "Collective West". I will let Alex Christoforou say his bit. So we will see how the Trump Team deals with it. Hopefully with competence and there is co operation from the Russians. Fingers crossed.
