Trump believes free trade is equal value trade.

Trump may have said it, he might even believe it.

However the USMCA agreement he signed doesn't seem to say anything about equal values of trade. After Trump signed the agreement he stated that it was the best trade agreement ever. (Not sure if those were the exact words.) As you well know, Trump has never been known for his honesty or fair dealing.

If Trump does break his agreement and add tariffs you can be sure that Canada will respond with tariffs where it will hurt the U.S.the most. So we will have a trade war. A war without winners.

As for watching fox, you must be kidding. My understanding of the world comes from reading a variety of independent sources.

The U.S. can get along without our consumers.

not without some pain. Wisconsin dairy farmers certainly
want Canadian access.
