being a former retail broker, I came to realize analysts push stocks and maintain rosy pictures to save face and hope the thing recovers...from all of the analysts that I have come to know, most are very self conscious and dont not want to admit they are wrong by changing a view on a stock. One stock that immediately comes to mind is Rambus. I was with Morgan stanley dean witter, and they were touting this like there was not tomrw....then the price starting falling from the 80's....they maintained a strong buy...then the stock is in the 60's and 70's....strong buy...gung ho....stock is 50...uh..we go neutral on it...thanks for nothing analysts!

you pick the income number over the next four quarters that you would like to place the bet on.

blankmind,

It's late, but this bet (if it occurs) should be done on the CIEN thread. Anyway, 1 year is too long for a wager as this may be a very short term play for me.
