MSB, how is this for the personal touch? (i guess one takes it from wherever one can get it). a large company sent me a personal letter entitled "On Your Special Day". the paper is colored with bright flowers and vines with my name in bold placed in practically every sentence. obviously it is spit out by some software program that is linked to an interesting database. In the letter i am told that the year i was born Dr. Arturo Frandizi is elected President of Argentina, scientists create their first nuclear fission reaction, former pres. Herbert Hoover announces the recession is only temporary - ROFL, and Chou En-Lai resigns as foreign minister of China), New York beat Milwaukee 4 to 3 in the seventh game of the world series, Wilt Chamberlain signed with the Harlem Globetrotters, Jimmy Bryan won the Indy 500 averaging 133.8 mph, a horse named Tim Tam won the Kentucky Derby, Danny and the Juniors were singing "At the Hop", The Silhouettes topped the charts with "Get a Job", Perry Como was crooning "Catch a Falling Star", Sheb Wooley unleased "The Purple People Eater", "Gigi" won best picture, i was born on a Tuesday, the price of a gallon of milk was a buck, a loaf of bread 19 cents, a new car $2,200, a gallon of gas 24 cents, a new home $30,000, and an average annual income $4,650. under the heading birthdays, i find the painter Pierre Auguste Renoir and 102 years later George Harrison and 15 years later to the day me.
