Hi Dwight:

Sorry for not writing sooner. The last few days have been very busy.

You are correct about my feelings towards the Asian economic crisis. While it would be a great mistake for me to deny the importance of the event, i see no evidence of the catastrophes foretold. Yes, it has been made much bigger than it should be, especially and repeatedly by some on this board. IMHO

Pleae consider some statistics:
"Malasia "does not even have the market value of Bristol Myers! If South Korea were a tech company, it would not be in the top 25 " (see Mar. Forbes)

The fact is we are in a bull market and Asian Flu has not been able to start a bear market.
Looking at INTC, DELL and MSFT; etc. anything wrong with techs?
Are our banks in trouble? Do we have inflation? Is Saddam going to destroy us? Budget deficit? Price of gold, price of oil...? Unemployment? Inflation?

While things are not perfect they are not bad! Is market overvalued? May be, may be not. My numbers tell me not? Could it drop tomorrow? Of course. Could I be dead tomorrow? Of course. Do I worry about it? NO! Could things get worse? Yes. Could they get better? Yes. I hope so.

If anyone thinks a meltdown is coming I respect that. If you wish to be out of the market or be short I respect that too. I really accept and respect other's views and positions.

I posted here few months ago that Asian markets offered good investment opportunity and the bears laughed...I have not laughed at anyone here and never will. "Laughter is the best medicine" is my motto. I try to use it often. I apologies for the humor of it being out of place. I do respect you and your views. I think you are even handed and a straight shooter.

Respectfully I also think there are Asian boards on SI which are a better forum to debate Asia. Why novl's board? It is really not clear to me.

Overall, the whole world is better off today than it has been in my life time and I hope for it to continue. JIMHO.

Respectfully,

Seren.
