Yes Bonefish, I get it. WFH was never the wave of the future despite what millennials believed.

The problem is that some people really do need to WFH. Whether it's a long commute, or a need to take care of family members, there is talent out there that cannot be accessed without remote work arrangements.

Yes, there is a measure of inefficiency, but there's also the inefficiency of not being able to find capable workers who can come into the office five days a week.

That's the problem with Musk and his anti-WFH bias. He thinks workers can simply move closer to the office and just hire people to take care of family. He has no idea how hard it is for regular workers to do that, because he lives in his own bubble of alternate reality.

And now with his "my way or the highway" style of "management," he's going to run the federal government into the ground, all while pretending that he's preventing that outcome.

Just for you, Bonefish. Imagine if you had to justify your job to an AI engine ...

DOGE will use AI to assess the responses from federal workers who were told to justify their jobs via email (NBC News)

I know what I'd be saying if I were one of those government employees who, in your words, "suckled off of the government teat" ...

"In my position, I am busy eliminating fraud, waste, and abuse from my department. Just last week, I took down the DEI poster on the wall, because Dear Leader Trump (God bless his soul) commanded it, and it was costing taxpayers trillions of dollars. Moreover, I immediately started work on a project that will automate basic government functions with the help of Grok. This has the potential to save the federal government an additional trillion or two dollars.

"On a side note, I spent all of last week working 17 hours a day and sleeping in my office."
