Doug,

I'm watching SCOC, because it has news coming out tomorrow.

From www.techweb.com:

"Compaq and three other vendors next week plan to announce support for The Santa Cruz Operation Inc.'s 64-bit version of Unix being developed for the upcoming Merced processor from Intel.

Compaq, Data General Corp., ICL Inc. and Unisys Corp. also will disclose an investment in SCO during the Feb. 24 announcement.

The operating system is designed to bolster the performance of SCO's UnixWare in the data center. Intel's Merced is a 64-bit chip due out next year, designed to continue the semiconductor vendor's dominance of corporate microprocessors into the 21st century."
