I'm saying that technical problems at on-line brokerages are not a good indicator of whether the company will continue to grow profitably over the next several years.

This is a brand new industry and everyone should expect problems. Granted, I hate it too when the technology bogs me down, but I expect it since the Internet is still a relatively new thing. That is why I back it up by having their telephone number on hand in case I can't make a trade on-line.

As far as the stock goes, this company is a winner. They have first-mover advantage and they are keeping their edge. If you haven't noticed, they have kept to their price point as new companies come in at ridiculously low prices. That's because they know what it takes to remain profitable and are not willing to compete on that basis. This shows you how strong a company E-Trade is. This is a good long term play stock.
