The chart on my web site indicates that, based on the Friday 2/13 closing data for only the options that expired on 2/21, the Max-Pain point would be at $45 by the time the Expiry day arrived, not $43.

SUNW closing at $46.25 on 2/20 is close enough to $45 to say that for this month it appears to have 'tracked' closely. the $47.5 options and above died and the $45 puts and below died. The $45 calls closed $1.25 'in the money'...

Not too bad for an indicator created the week before expiry day.

I plan to keep the methodology as stated, and let more data points (expiration experiences) occur before thinking of 'tuning'.
