Been buying MBK over the last month. I think your wisdom of building a Japanese portfolio is probably wise. W/ the US mkt becoming increasingly overvalued, it is probably wise to begin taking positions elsewhere even if it might be a bit early.

<<<<<Buying individual Japanese co. stocks on American exchanges

......For baskets check out webs on amex

......you can build your own portfolio if you want: you named some good ones--don't forget MBK which may turn out to be like CCI 10 years ago. there is always HMC, CANNY, and FUJIY for the blue chip sumu wrestlers.

......this is what i call the long bottom. the big bang starts in a month or so and i personally think they are taking care of their banking system. BEGINNING to cut taxes and deregulate. also MER is buying yamaichi securities, fidelity is going in and i am sure that those one trillion dollars in postal accounts will start to flow into equities.

............ i think that in 5 yeas we will look back and wonder why we did not buy more. in a few months anything can happen. don't forget that their companies still need to have the negative effects of asia on their bottom lines--it could be quite bad.

......i just bought a bit of MBK but will wait for some more bad news to buy SNE and maybe HMC, FUJIY, CANNY etc. depending on how bad the sell off is.
