I agree with what you say re the relative importance of the semi equips.

And had I said that the Naz run was attributable to the semi equips, you would have a viable arquement.

However, what I wrote was "semi and semi quip stocks". I included semi equips in the sentence because they have enjoyed the fruits of this move. The semi stocks do make up a large portion of the Naz move, on their own. Also, my cliam was as "one of the reasons", not the entire cause. I hardly think that the combined weight of the semis and semi equips are a moot point to the rise of the Naz.
